Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils

Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils

Faber-Castell’s Pitt Pastel Pencils are very suitable for lines, shading, and delicate color transitions, and also for extended areas. Use them for sketches, studies, portraits, still-lifes, and landscape drawings. They give a smooth flow of color without being used up too rapidly. Colors are rich in pigment, allowing dense shading. They do not change on fixing or exposure to light. Wood-cased Pitt Pastel Pencils do not dirty the fingers, and the leads are free of oils. They can easily be wiped to merge areas of colors, which means that they must then be fixed to protect the drawing. Pencils are pre-sharpened. Individual lightfastness ratings are printed on each pencil’s casing.

Caran d’Ache Grafstone Woodless Graphite Pencils

Caran d’Ache Grafstone Woodless Graphite Pencils

Caran d’Ache has drawn on its expertise and explored the deepest graphite mines to search out the infinite color nuances of carbon. The result is the Graphite Line, an original concept dedicated to graphite that gives artists the opportunity to compose their own graphite range and explore all the shades of black. An integral part of this line is the Grafstone woodless graphite pencil. Grafstone pencils contain pure graphite leads that can be adapted equally well to very large or very small formats. Available in 3 degrees of hardness, they are ideal for broad applications and, after careful sharpening, very precise drawing.

Cretacolor Fine Art Graphite Pencils

Cretacolor Fine Art Graphite Pencils

Creatacolor Fine Art Graphite Pencils are the ultimate tools for all sketching, drawing, and hatching applications. Cretacolor is the direct manufacturing descendent of the company started by Joseph Hardtmuth in 1790, which produced the first pencil leads by using a mixture of graphite and clay. Well known for their superior quality, these traditional pencils are made by mixing and then grinding together different types of graphite with high-grade fireproof ceramic clay. This special clay gives the graphite high breaking strength. The proportion of graphite to clay determines the softness and darkness of the lead. Hardness/softness grades from 9B (softest) to H cover the full range of applications. Softer grades produce broader and darker strokes. Harder grades produce more precise and lighter strokes Creatacolor Fine Art Graphite Pencils are housed in a hard cedar wood casing, which guarantees utmost strength and easy sharpening. Pencils are pre-sharpened.
